An International Organization

IAMA is an International Union that brings together all Educational Organizations and Professionals dealing with Alternative Medicine. 

Our main purpose is to organize, claim and defend the interests of our members.

Mission

of our Organization

IAMA aims to organize, safeguard and claim the interests of its members. The organization’s specific aims are:

  1. The cultivation and promotion of alternative medicine, as well as training on the different methods of it. 
  2. Assisting and disseminating unionism at international level of all educational institutions, teaching any form of alternative medicine. 
  3. The encouragement of its members in all forms of scientific cooperation.
  4. Assistance to resolve any kind of problems faced by educational organizations at local or national level.
  5. Ensuring conditions for improving professional training and teaching methods.

Definition

According to the definition given by the European Union, Alternative Medicine is considered any method that can supplement or replace Conventional Medicine, and is an undeniable patient’s choice.

Its methods do not include medication, but rely on the natural way of treatment.

Alternative Medicine methods are Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture,  Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Iridology, Bioresonance, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu, Ayurveda, Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Reiki, Aromatherapy, Hypnotherapy, Μassage and any other alternative treatment method.
